Fooling around with Jessica Cheng

HAHAHA... sorry Jess, I had to... anyways.. A friend of mine (Jessica) asked me if I would shoot pics of her clothing for her website (those pics to come shortly).  During the wardrobe changes I was messing around with everybody else that was there for the shoot to keep them entertained.  I love the pic with the random props LOL.. Check it out!!

Miss Caren

So the nice weather is here.  I asked a friend of mine if she'd come with me to take some pictures outside.  We went to a park with a lovely.. umm.. thing?  haha.. There was a lot of stone pillars and green.  Made for some pretty nice pics tho.

Mike and Yumiko

So my friends Mike and Yumiko are less then a week away from getting married.  5 days away actually.  They wanted to print a large photo where people could sign all around their name, and they asked me to take this photo.. haha.  So here's a few photos from the shoot.

A friend of mine is about to compete in her first fitness competition and she asked if I could take a few photos of her and her boyfriend.  The two are 3 days out from comp and look fantastic!!! Good luck guys!!

Battle of the bands

Last week I shot pictures at a "Battle of the bands" concert.  It was actually really hard because I couldn't use a flash.  For some reason they felt the need to use an incredible amount of fog from the fog machines and every time i would try to use a flash I would get a picture of a grey cloud.  I had to shoot the concert with no flash, just using the light provided by the "disco lights" that were flashing and spinning around.  My pictures came out really noisy, but I actually don't mind the effect.

Dear 16 year old me..

A couple of weeks ago I posted a video on my facebook page called "Dear 16 year old me".  Yesterday I received a message from a friend of mine regarding the video that made me feel really good.  I won't say my buddy's name or anything, but I thought I'd share this.  

Hey bro, how ya been? Anyways just wanted to say thanks! And not for your photography this time, I watched that commercial about melanoma you put up and it made me get a mole checked, and they removed it today. I don't think I would have done it without seeing that, so thanks, it really hit home. See ya Saturday bro!

Call of Photography: Black Ops

HAHAHA Oh man.. I was going to leave this blog strictly original work, but I had to throw this into the mix.  In some ways it feels like photography is so competitive.  It feels like a cut throat business.. especially with doing photos in the club scene.  There are so many photographers willing to do the job but only so many jobs to do.  With that being said, this video really does a great job of making light of the subject.  Sometimes it feels like "we at war bitches!!" hehe.. good thing the crew I roll with's LEGIT!! haha.. playin!! :P
